Remember that for a new download, especially a large one, Mac OS X needs to shut down various programs and processes. If you really want to like El Capitan but can’t actually complete the download due to error messages, your current version of Yosemite is probably causing trouble.Problem: I tried to install El Capitan, but it gives me error messages Solution: Here are the most common issues people have struggled with, and the best solutions for getting those kinks worked out. As Mac users have worked with the new OS, they’ve noticed several problems that seem linked to El Capitan. Downloading it is kind of a no-brainer because of its price tag (free!), but El Capitan (named, btw, for the famous mountain in Yosemite park) does come with some baggage of its own.
Fitbit Versa 3Įl Capitan, the latest update to OS X, seeks to make the operating system better with various performance enhancements and interesting new features. I hope it will help! Sorry for my English, I'm still learning -)
In the Terminal window, type in 'csrutil enable' and press Enter. Reboot your Mac and holding down Command+R until the Apple logo appears on your screen. Do this like step 1 to 4, with change: 'csrutil enable' Now, when You changed permission, need to Enable 'System Integrity Protection'. When the process is over ( OnyX app ) or command 'sudo chmod 1777 /tmp' works, just reboot Mac. This fixes all permission problems ( including changes permission '/tmp' to correct ). After restart Mac, try to change manual ( command: 'sudo chmod 1777 /tmp' ) or download app: ( I recommended this utility app to do this: OnyX 3.1.8 for OS X 10.11 El Capitan - download link: ) 5.1 In the app, select Maintenance -> Permissions, and hit Execute. In the Terminal window, type in 'csrutil disable' and press Enter. Reboot your Mac into Recovery Mode by restarting your computer and holding down Command+R until the Apple logo appears on your screen. This SIP must be disabled before You change permission. If You try to change permission this catalog, OS X do not let this change because, in system there is 'System Integrity Protection'.
I found my solution! This is permission problem with var catalog '/tmp'.
